Challenge

A high level of moisture, mold, and odor, was found in this older Winnipeg home. Water seepage along basement walls was present due to drainage issues, and a dirt floor crawl space allowed moisture and odor to escape into upper living area of the home.

Solution

The customer contacted Blue Maxx Basement Systems to provide a permanent solution. We installed WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to protect basement from water seepage, diverting water to the home’s sump system. Crawl space was encapsulated using CleanSpace membrane, sealing the area from moisture and unwanted odor. The homeowners no longer experience excess moisture and odor in their home, and can develop their basement into usable living space.
